I need a new drivers side window and a inside door handle for the passenger side.

I will be sending the truck out next week to get the seats re covered.

I hope to attend several parades and musters next year any dates will help.

if anyone has any pictures of this truck i would love you to email them to me at ACPD227@MCHSI.COM

Wish I could remember who was chief when we bought the 1962 International from the Jellystone Park in Plymouth. The man had tons of old photos and stories, he probably is still in the area.

No, he was shorter and wore a bow tie I think. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue1.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue1' />

Jason:

There are some Federal Model 17 Beacons currently on eBay. If you are thinking of adding another warning light to the apparatus, this may be the most economical option.

Wasn't there a guy in Arizona that did nothing but refurbish and sell old warning lights and sirens?? Can't remember his name or if he's still in the business.

Well i have not taken any pictures yet but i have done alot this week.

1 took off light bar (works) and plugged holes. (lights bar for sale)

2 Removed 2nd q2b which works but need some tlc. (for sale)

3 Replaced battery cables and added battery switch and key switch.

4 sent seats out to be re covered.

5 Got drives side door window replaced.

6 changed oil (First time since 1984).

Items still on the list to do.

1. Get siren in the model 30 working again.

2. wash and wax.

3. Pollish bell.

I think if i add anything to the roof it will be a mars football light if i add anything.

It sounds like you are off to a great start on your new acquisition. A Mars DX-40 "Football" light will make a great addition. Keep your eye on eBay as one will show up from time to time.

Just take it a little at a time. I've also been doing some work on my Crown. When you get a chance check it out, I repainted the Crown stamped on the 4 corners of the truck, and just relettered the whole truck. I'll show some before and after shots.

Keep us up to date on yours and some pics too !!!!!

I see that a Roto Ray has appeared on the left front corner of the bumper.

Excellent choice!

Perhaps if it was another color it would start to resemble a 1947 ALF that we both are aware of.
