I'm just impressed with how much sun you managed to catch on camera. Had to have taken months, considering how dreary the summer was here (2010). Did anyone else test for Seattle this month?

Welcome back Kyle. The bleak weather in the PNW sure makes photography challenging. Monsoon season should be ending soon, and then we’ll just have to deal with three and a half months of rain squalls with occasional sun breaks. Station 38's dedication is only two days away.

While Engine 21 celebrates their new station with an open house this Saturday, Dec 3rd.

Still loving the Seattle stations! 21's turned out even better than I thought it would. Really like the mixed materials on the exterior. Is it a drive through design? Thanks in advance... and thanks for the pics.

Thanks Dave. It's not a drive through, like 30's, the back of the lot is very low. It's hard to get a good shot of the station because of all the utility cables blocking.

WOW that is right on the street.

The next all new station is under construction at ML King Way and South Jackson, will house Engine 6 and Ladder 3 and is due to be occupied around December 2012. Here is a quick drive by shot taken in early January 2012 showing walls going up for the living and admin area of the new station.

Another shot taken last month as the apparatus bay area was taking shape revealed that this will be a drive through arrangement.

Temporary quarters are currently in place for Engine 9, located at the 3500 block of Interlake Ave North.

Engine 9 is still occupying these quarters as the days count down before demolition.

[size=4]The Rescue will soon be moving into this double length temporary tent, located at Airport Way South, and South Adams Street, the former site of the Sonny Jim Peanut Butter Plant, as Station 14 under goes an extensive seismic upgrade and apparatus bay expansion.[/size]

Temporary living space is almost in place behind the quarters of E27 before another station seimic upgrade begins.

Station 13's seismic upgrade was completed and on May 19th an open house dedication event took place. E13 was assigned a spare 1995 E\-One that day while the ALF was in the shops. To the right is a 1946 Kenworth which was assigned to station 13 from Jan. 1950 to July 11, 1958.

The center post has been replaced by a steel beam allowing for the installation of new and a bit wider rollup doors. Battalion 5 has returned to the station after being relocated to station 30.
