Was just browsing Ferrara website site and saw this.. Detroit purchased a demo MM and building a RM ,both platforms. Sorry if this is posted somewhere else.

Had heard they had money for replacement towers but nothing solid ever spoken of. Guess that's changed lol. I know they have 4-6 Smeal heavy duty rearmount ladders on order and 6 Ahrens-Fox Squads on order as well

Currently on order for Detroit:

 

8 Ferrara pumpers

2 Ferrara aerial platforms (stock units)

9 Smeal rearmount aerials

6 HME Ahrens-Fox squads.

14 Braun medic units

I wonder why they would choose a rearmount tower and a midmount tower? Is this the first or only rear mount tower in Detroit history?

Only the midmount tower is a stock unit from what I'm told. The rearmount is a custom tower
