Dare County, North Carolina MedFlight (Dare MedFlight) has been around for over 25 years providing aeromedical transport services. Dare MedFlight is one of the few county-owned aeromedical operations in the United States.
Dare MedFlight utilizes a BK117 helicopter. The helicopter is capable of carrying two patients. The helicopter is based at the Dare County Regional Airport.
We were staying in the Outer Banks right near the hospital so I was able to see the helicopter land and takeoff on multiple occasions.
