Acquired Structure Live Fire Training
#1
August 25, 2014 - Castle Rock, Colorado Firefighters spent the morning conducting live fire training in an acquired home.  The morning sessions focused on "resetting" the fire through transitional attack.  Those evolutions were filmed inside and outside the structure and recorded with thermal imaging cameras.  Vent Enter Isolate Search (VEIS), interior attack, primary search and vertical ventilation techniques were also practiced.  Once all of the interior rooms had been burned out, the structure was allowed to become fully involved for demolition purposes.
