Phoenix Metropolitan Area Fire Apparatus
In other valley fire news, Peoria's new Chief has reversed some structural changes implemented by the former Chief.

"Deputy 191" is back to being just "Battalion 191".  I saw the re-lettered (for the second time) BC191 truck at headquarters the other day.

So, both on duty Peoria Chiefs (BC191 and BC192) are back to being Battalion Chiefs.  There are no more Deputy Chiefs serving as shift commanders.

Living proof that Ladder 131 does indeed exist...  (it doesn't go out much, usually LT131)

Clearing from a residential structure fire earlier today.

Quote:Medic 155 was there, too. No engine companies, though.
2002-ish Chevrolet C-4500/Braun (I think)
This and one other unit are joint Glendale FD/Southwest Ambulance/Midwestern University rigs that serve as jump units for paramedic students.

Not a Braun unless it's a Braun NorthWest, I'm leaning towards it being an AEV due to the diamondplate rub rail and light with rubber gasket in rear side compartment door.

As of 2009/2010 they still had that engine. It was assigned to me during a strike team assignment to California. I might (and that's a skeptical might) have a picture somewhere, I'll need to look. it was still in spectacular shape as I remember, but I know it was assigned to the wildland team for off district assignments. let me see if I can dig up some info.

As of the December, 2012 report to the Board of Directors, the 1994 Pierce Javelin is out of service (however, it is not showing as disposed of). The 1996 Lance pumper and 2004 Quantum pumper are now reserves, with the 2001 Quantum pumper at Engine 131, the 2008 Quantum pumper at Engine 132 and the 2012 Spartan/CustomFire at Engine 133.

I'm no expert on ambulance bodies in any way, but the flattened rear wheel wells are a TaylorMade trademark, if I recall...

You guys have it I saw that and just couldn't compute it in my mind.  Then again I've probably only run into 3-4 Taylor Made's in my life.

One of the very few TDA's left in Metro Phoenix.

Phoenix Reserve 1999 ALF/1990 LTI 90' TDA (running as Ladder 4).

One of four delivered, these were originally equipped with long wheelbase Spartan Baron tractors in 1990.  However, these rigs were too long to fit in some stations and were re-tractored by ALF in 1999/2000.  They're in reserve now (not sure how many of the four are left - I've verified two of them, at least).
