Vancouver, Washington Chooses KME


Nesquehoning, PA – KME is pleased to announce the City of Vancouver, Washington has awarded KME and its dealer Cascade Fire and Safety a five year contract for acquisition of multiple pumpers.

 

According to Chuck Winkler, Vancouver’s Emergency Equipment Supervisor, “We were very impressed with the KME facility, and the workmanship and quality of their products. We are happy to partner with KME and Cascade Fire and Safety on the apparatus contract.”

 

The first pumper will be a KME Predator with seating for six, external EMS cab compartment access, 450hp engine, and dual secondary braking with a transmission retarder for superior brake performance and life. The pumpers include a 1250gpm pump and 500 gallons of water.

 

Cascade Fire and Safety’s home office is located in Yakima WA. President, Mark Merritt along with his experienced and friendly sales team represent KME in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Cascade Fire has been in continuous business for over sixty years. Their 26,000 square foot Yakima facility offers 24 hours 7 days a week emergency repairs and is staffed with certified EVT technicians offering both in-house and mobile service. Cascade Fire and Safety technicians are also members of the Washington Fire Apparatus and Equipment Association. Along with the Yakima facility Cascade Fire and Safety has multiple service centers located in Eugene OR, Everett and Spokane WA.
