Most forests mark their units Law Enforcement, but some particularly those in Southern California mark them Police. There is no difference in duties.

This is the older paint scheme, around 2000 the USFS changed from green to white vehicles. Fire vehicles returned to the green look but Law Enforcement has stayed with the white.

Ford Bronco

The current fleet is a mix of Tahoes, Expeditions, pick ups etc, but until the late 1990's almost the entire USFS Law Enforcement fleet was made up of Broncos.

This is the only pic I have of the Bronco, USFS Law Enforcement also does our fire investigation.

This is a former Maryland Park Ranger vehicle. Regular NRP vehicles are usually green, whereas the white NRP vehicles are those that were transferred to NRP from the State Parks Division of the MD DNR when the park rangers were integrated into NRP in 2005.

This vehicle is still in service as a Maryland Ranger vehicle. Park managers retain their commissions, and their marked cruisers.
