About a year ago the City of Stillwater made the decision to outsource ambulance transports to LifeNet EMS out of Texas, after historically running their own units.

As part of the arrangement, Stillwater was able to keep the staffing and now assumes a first-responder role, along with LifeNet. The original Stillwater ambulances are now lettered for LifeNet, in their original colors.

In looking at old Stillwater ambulance photos, this one may not be original to Stillwater. Even though they ran Ford E/Taylormade units, I don't think this one is ex-Stillwater.

Unit 52 (Brush truck - Not sure of it's designation)

1997 IHC 4800/Olinghouse (local truck builder) 4x4

150/1200 (I've also seen references to a 250gpm pump; not sure which it is.

[/quote]

This unit operates as Brush 2 and the specs of 150/1200 in the pump and tank are correct. Here is a pic of this unit sitting outside.

This guy is long gone. It lasted a long time.

Thanks for posting the other photos. They definitely made up for the station shots.

Yeah - They went with the Type I Wheeled Coach's after that. When I was there in 2007 and 2009 they were running the 2006 Wheeled Coach Type I as Ambulance 1, IIRC.

I have a bunch of old Stillwater FD pics in my collection (50's/60's/70's), but I couldn't begin to say who took them or where they even came from, so I'm a little hesitant to post them here. Any thoughts?

Yep, that's the reserve at Station 3 now. But, I gotta say that tank has to be at least 750, if not 1000 gallons.
