2 Houses on Fire - Portland, 7-6-2015

At 0857 Eng. 31 was dispatched to 847 SE 169th Drive for bushes on fire, not extending to a house.

Dispatch received more calls, one reporting two houses on fire, so a box was transmitted bringing 3 more engines, a truck and a Rescue.

Truck 2 at the Training Center, added themselves to the box.bringing some of the trainees for hands on training.

Since the fire was just over the line in Gresham, some Gresham apparatus was part of the assignment.

Dick, it looks like Portland is experiencing the same blistering hot, dry conditions as Seattle.  Is there a REHAB UNIT assigned on all working first alarm fires?

One is not assigned, but Command calls for one right away. It's slowly cooling down. Only 90 today, I think, but a little humid.
