Boston FD LODD's Wake & Funeral Information
#1
In a 36 hour span this past week the Boston Fire Department lost two long time members due to Occupational Cancer. Thanks to the presumptive cancer laws both these deaths are being treated as Line of Duty Deaths. I didn't know Joe personally, I've known his brother Danny (Car 300, Group 1) for years, but I had met & worked with Frankie several times, the last time over the summer when I was detailed to E33 & he was the Acting Lieutenant. Two good men, taken too soon.......Rest In Peace Brothers!

The arrangements for Firefighter Joseph Mullen, Engine Company 8, who passed away on Tuesday January 21st after a long battle with job related cancer are as follows: The Wake will be held at the Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester St, in South Boston, on Sunday January 26th from 4-8 PM. A Mass will be celebrated on Monday January 27th at Gate of Heaven Church, 615 East Fourth St, in South Boston at 10AM.

The arrangements for Firefighter Francis X. Flynn, Engine Company 33, who passed away on Wednesday January 22nd from job related cancer are as follows: The wake will be held on Monday January 27th from 4-8PM at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, 809 Main St in South Weymouth (Route 18, opposite the South Shore Hospital).
