For those who have not heard. Curt Elie has passed away after a battle with Cancer.

 

May he RIP.

Very sorry to hear this.  For those that don't know, Curt was very active in the Friendship Fire Association (the DC group) and their Wagon Pipe newsletter.  He was also a well-known FAJ contributor.

Saw many of his posts and pics with the FFA Newsletter sent to DCFD houses, and a FAJ now and then. Never met the man, and if I did, it may have been with him on the Canteen Unit. A credit to his field, may he rest in peace.

Curt was my good friend. He was originally from the Boston area and had many friends there.

I met Curt at a SPAAMFAA convention in Baltimore in the 90ies. Very nice guy. Rest in peace.

I never had the priviledge of meeting the man, but I have read his articles and enjoyed his photos for many years.  Rest in peace, Curt.

Sad to hear.  Spoke with Curt many times in Allentown, very nice guy.  He will be missed.

Curt had two son's one is a PGFD Captain and the other is a PGPD Officer. Knew Curt from the Captain in the FD. He will greatly be missed.
