Yes, a lot of speculation on several forums about this being for sale.  If the pump/tank/compartment space would meet our needs a little more, I'd make a push to make an offer on it.

Im guessing a new chief is trying to distance himself from old chiefs ways.

From the last time I was there, I was led to believe that they want to replace the 1986 Grumman Tower.  They want to use the proceeds from the Squad to help pay for a replacement.

Very nice rig, but way overboard, I see $40,000 worth of BS on the front end that could have been put to better use.

From what I have read alot of the Qs and Mars lights that are on that truck along with the 2 Peterbilt engines they have were either from the former chief or parts that were off of former trucks that they had kept around. Alot of people think that those trucks and the rescue were spec'ed with that many sirens and lights looking at it as a tax payer waste but if its old stuff laying around like up there, why not use it?

Former Chief Chuck Himsel (RIP) had a huge collection of lights, sirens, and bells (among other things). He would spec the truck and then him and the rest of the department would install the Mars lights, sirens and stuff using items from his collection. Taxpayers did NOT pay for that. It was paid for by fundraisers throughout the year. They used that money for the bells and whistles, leather helmets, leather boots, etc.

They just wanted to warn the residents of adjacent states that they were coming...
