What the fuck? How do you upload images for your posts? Progress my fat ass!!

Scott, I am not sure what browser you are using, but I have IE8, and when I click the "reply" button, I do see a layout very similar to the old style--add attachment, and browse buttons on the lower left of the page. In this thread there is not an option--at least it doesn't appear to have the option--but in the images sections it does appear. Hope that helps.

My thing is, proir to this whole new upgrade, I was able click EDIT and basically have access to modifying spelling errors and/or pictures. Now I don't have and/or can't see the option. I would hate to go back to asking moderators to fix issues, especially when I created the thread.

Thankyou.

Nothing has changed in these settings. You should still have full edit permissions.

Could you guide me? When I click on "Use Full Editor" nothing happens, unless I looking in the wrong place.

It was a javascript error. I have fixed it, but you may have to refresh your screen the first time you try to use it.

Now for the attachment issue. I apologize for not replying sooner, but I usually sleep from 2PM to 10PM and I'm in work by Midnight. I obviously wasn't available to provide a timely answer, which is apparently expected. Since I'm the only board member that does coding, no one else could have provided the answer.

To get a definitive answer, I have to ask questions:

1. Does your "reply" screen look like this?

Posted Image

If so, does your screen look like this before you hit "Add Reply":

Posted Image

If you hit "add reply" before the image is fully uploaded, and says "Done" in the status, it will not upload. If you're not seeing these screens as I've posted them, it's a different issue that I'll look into, but since there are very few who have experienced this problem, I'm not sure it's on the server end.

Ed,

My issue that I PM'd you about is fine now on both connections. However Ive found a new issue, which may or may not be one.

In the upgrade, only the first 2 lines of my signature are visible. The other 2 lines are there, but because they were a different color (I think) you cant read/see them with the current white background. Its not a big deal to me, but when I went to edit it, using the same info, I keep getting an error message that says "[#10211] You may only use up to lines of text in your signature". Im getting the message on both AOL and IE8. Ive tried deleting the current one and completely replacing it, but still get it.

Again, I dont really care about it, just letting you know so if theres a fix, it can be done.

I changed it to red, and it shows up now.......there are no restrictions on the signatures, so I'll add it to my list of things to research.

We switched to Firefox a couple nights ago on this machine, and now it appears to be running "slow",. Not really slow as in a big problem slow, but not as quick as it used to be. Seems like it works better if you click on what you want, then leave the cursor in the spot you clicked.

Could be the computer, or the dumbass operating it. Feel free to let me know if it's on this end.

There was a time when Firefox was the end all/be all of browsers, but recently I've seen a lot of people complaining about it being slow on resource intensive sites, especially when compared to IE8 or Google Chrome. I'm a loyalist, as it seems to block the majority of junk I don't want to see, so I'm still using it. It's not on your end, and it's not really on Firepics' end either.

I've had trouble with the chat room....maybe it's just me, but I get this message:
Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/jamie/public_html/groupboards/x7chat2/lib/db/mysql.php on line 52

The new chat software is now installed. It can be accessed from the "Chat" link at the top of the page, just under the Firepics Logo. Please feel free to use it anytime in addition to the Weekly scheduled chats at 2100 Eastern Time.

The subscriptions module has been repaired by Invision and appears to be working properly. One of the largest advances that this software version has with regards to the subscriptions is the ability to renew your subscription BEFORE it expires. I know a lot of people have been requesting this enhancement for a long time, and it is now here. You may now renew your subscription up to 30 days before it expires.

Ed,

Any chance of new skins/layouts? I'd like to see a dark black-grayish skin like the previous software.

Thankyou.

Definitely. Right now, I'm trying to figure out the Message Checker problem. A lot of the SQL databases got renamed, so I'm sure it's just a matter of making the program look in the right place, but that's a lot easier said than done. I'll see what I can get up for skins a little later tonight.

I just added a dark skin called "Blue Darkness" to the skin sets. Hopefully this will appeal to the people that like the darker skins. I happen to be one of them.
